Weekly Inspiration : Stella Artois 60s Campaign / Website

This weeks inspiration comes from a billboard I pass everyday on my way to work. Usually housing some sort of supermarket or travel agent advert this particular billboard currently displays a rather cool 60’s themed design as part of a campaign from Stella Artois.

Recyclage De Luxe

The purpose of the campaign was to raise consumer awareness of their environmental efforts like having bottles made of 75% recycled glass and dontation of hedges to the British countryside. They are accompanied by a full TV show that you can view of their youtube channel that even features Florence and The Machine.

The adverts have been created by Mother London.

Jacques d’Azur can’t go to Cannes

This then led me to the fantastic Stella Artois Website which recently had a competition to win a trip to the Cannes Film Festival.

After signing in via Facebook Connect, this particularly clever bit of flash literally blew me away. Check it out :

I have been asked to provide some flash animation for a charity fashion show at the SubClub on Wednesday, 14 April 2010. It will be showcasing some local music, art film and fashion (including the excellent Rebecca Torres) with a dark fairytale theme backdrop. Ill hopefully be able to post some video of the event so check back soon.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 – April Release

Adobe have announced that the new Creative Suite will be launch on April 12th boasting a whole range of exciting features especially for Flash and Photoshop. The preview of Flash CS5 at Adobe Max in particular shows off some of the new physics creation tools within the new release.

Plastikman Live Tour 2010

Just sorting out flights and tickets for this years Sonar Festival in Barcelona. One of the main reasons for the trip is to see the new Plastikman Live show performed by Richie Hawtin. The performance is a combination of a number audio visual technologies and even an iPhone app for crowd interaction. Very clever stuff.

My new portfolio theme : BonesFolio

I’m currently updating my existing portfolio to my new custom Wordpress theme called BonesFolio.

It’s main aim is to offer a barebones, clean minimal layout to showcase some of my more recent work on with some added jQuery magic. I will make it available to download for free once I have completed a few tests and finished off some features, including:

Custom admin panel for adding recent work images and descriptions.
Updatable image slider for featured posts on homepage
Video integration
Mobile layouts
Twitter and Facebook Connect integration
